It's a wet weekend so I thought I'd write something interesting about tax. Never an easy task at the best of times.
If HMRC have told you that you must submit a 2019 tax return you have until 31 January 2020 to submit it online or 31 October 2019 if you complete a paper return.
My countdown timer tells me that's 173 days for the online return but only 81 days for the paper one.
And don't forget that if you submit a paper return after 31 October 2019 and then try to correct the mistake by submitting the return online you'll still be fined £100 by HMRC for a late return.
